136th Infantry, State Color. Composed of men from Tioga, Luzerne, Dauphin, Northumberland, Allegheny, Westmoreland, Centre, Columbia, Crawford, and Cambria counties, the 136th was a nine-month unit and was organized on August 20, 1862. The regiment received the state color on October 16th. The 136th was mustered out of service on May 29, 1863.
